WHAT TO EXPECT

Your Visit to Faithway Baptist Church...

Visiting any church, especially a new one, for the very first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions surface. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Faithway Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home" and “Experience New Beginnings” with us! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

1. Finding Us...

You can't miss our location on Sunday Mornings at the Ball's Bluff Elementary School. You should recognize our signs on the corner of Route 15 and Battlefield Parkway and they will be placed right in front of the school as well. As you pull up to the school campus you will be directed toward the main entrance to the school, and from there greeters will direct you.

2.What’s Available for our Children?

Starting with excellent nursery, there is something special for every age child from birth through sixth grade! At every service on Sunday morning there is safe, clean, and highly staffed nursey care for those two years of age and younger. For the infants, mothers will receive a notification so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children three years old through third grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

3. What Are the Services Like?

Sunday mornings, you can participate in encouraging and uplifting music, as well as enjoy inspiring music from soloists and special groups. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Schwanke. Each service is just a little over one hour in length.
We also have a Sunday evening service (completely different from Sunday morning) that begins at 5:30 p.m. Again, in this service you'll enjoy the special music as well as a challenging and helpful message from Pastor Schwanke. We also meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. for a mid-week Bible study. If you can't be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you'll visit with us during another service time.

4. Do You Offer Small Groups?

Starting in the summer of 2008, we will lay the groundwork for our Life Group Classes. These are classes that will be held before our morning service on Sunday. They will meet a need that people have for Fellowship, Identity, and personal Bible Study.
On Sunday mornings the men of Faithway meet together at 9 AM for a time of prayer. We believe in the power of prayer and realize that if anything of eternal value is going to be accomplished in Loudoun County, it will only be through prayer. This is a time for Men to come together to encourage, and help one another through Corporate Prayer.

5. How Should I Dress?

There is not a dress code at Faithway Baptist for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Faithway Baptist! We would encourage you to come dressed to worship the Lord.

6. Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don't invite you to Faithway Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

If there's something we missed on this list, just give us a call at ... or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it's been a long time since you've attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Faithway Baptist will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you'll feel right at home from the very first moment you step on the campus! Let us know how we can serve you better. We hope to meet you this Sunday!
