What does your worship service look like?

True worship begins with God because it is a response to God revealing Himself in some way on His own terms. Worship flows from who God is and what He has done for us.

In the Bible worship is not just connected with music and singing. Singing is definitely one way to respond, but so is every other faculty we have as human beings. We can know worship is genuine when our feelings and expressions are the result of being reminded and confronted with the reality and immensity of God's holy character. A wide variety of responses can be the result.

More than that, as Christians, we don't just worship God the Father. We're people who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and given the Holy Spirit, and we are now a part of his family. As a result, one of the biggest things we respond to is Jesus Christ and His work on our behalf. And we can praise the Holy Spirit for His loving presence and guidance in our lives.

Worshipping God in all his fullness is what the church was made for. It's meant to permeate the life of the church and the lives of its members. At Faithway, we want to exalt Christ together.

Sunday Worship Services

It's this perspective on worship that guides our Sunday worship services. We want to emphasize both truth and emotion; we want to encounter God and worship Him with an appropriate response.

Our services are centered around God in His Word. Songs are a special way of responding to God because of their unique ability to engage both our hearts and minds. The songs we are more "traditional" in style of music. Lyrically, we sing historic and modern hymns. Our songs are meant to offer us rich truth to respond to, as well as guide our hearts and minds in the appropriate response.

The culmination and high point of Sunday worship is the preaching of God's Word. Everything we do in the first part of our service is meant to prepare us for and launch us into the Bible.

We hope you'll join us this Sunday for our worship service!
